 School Bus Drivers

Special Needs school bus drivers needed for Fall 2013.  Transport special needs children to and from school, conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicle; maintain trip reports and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.  CDL with passenger, airbrake and school bus endorsements required, will train if necessary.  Position is part-time.  Applicants must also meet requirements of Carroll County Board of Education. Perference given to drivers with current CCPS certification.

Certified Nursing Assistants

Duties will include assisting in the implementation of Individual Program plans, collecting data; assisting with daily living activities and transportation; encourage relationship building and community participation of residents, and their families. We require a high school diploma or GED, current CNA certification, a valid drivers’ license with no more than 2 points; clean driving and criminal records, and the ability to lift/move a minimum of 50 lbs.  Completion of Arc-provided training is also required. The Arc provides benefits for employees scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week.  Entry level rate is $12.00 per hour.   All candidates must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving and criminal records. 

1:1 Assistants/Job Coaches

Part-time positions.  Provide supervision and support to clients in our day program.  Ideal candidates will be versatile, flexible and creative.  Duties involve activities to support our individuals in living the life they desire.  We require a high school diploma or GED, one year experience working with persons who are developmentally disabled preferred, clean criminal and driving record, with no more than 2 current points and the ability to lift/move a minimum of 50 lbs.  The completion of Arc-provided training is also required.  Entry level rate is $10.00 per hour.   All candidates must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving and criminal records. 

Community Living Assistants/Support Services Aides

Part-time Community Living Assistants and Support Services Aides are needed in several of our ALU’s assisting adults with developmental disabilities and in individuals homes. Duties will include assisting in the implementation of Individual Program plans, collecting data; assisting with daily living activities and transportation; encourage relationship building and community participation of residents, and their families. We require a high school diploma or GED, a valid drivers’ license with no more than 2 points, clean driving and criminal records, and the ability to lift/move a minimum of 50 lbs.  Completion of Arc-provided training is also required. Hours are primarily evenings and weekends. The Arc provides benefits for employees scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week. Entry-level rate is $10.00 per hour.
